| Go Clique Yourself was the very first Clique roleplaying site on Wetpaint. It started in May of 2008 and had a successful run until the summer of 2009. Due to inactivity, the creator of GCY (jackiecouture) has to shut it down. This website was where it all began: makeups, breakups, shakeups and more. It was where catfights ensued and hookups initiated. It was where we shopped the mall for the hottest clothes. It was where we became the most fabulous It-Girls known to mankind. Even if all our adventures were virtual, the friendships that began were not. Exclusive cliques were established, formed by tight circles of girls who swore to stand by each other till the end. GCY might seem like the kind of place where shallow, wannabe-alphas gather to gossip and shop til' they drop. And maybe it is. But it's also a place where we get to express ourselves. At GCY, we had fun. We pranced down Fifth Avenue wearing bras over our shirts. We played pranks at school talent shows. We did whatever we wanted until we were LOLing - literally. I started this website as an amateur. And now I'm ending it - well, still an amateur - but maybe a little bit more experienced. I've made so many friends roleplaying on GCY. Thanks to Tessa, Kendall, Aly, Skye, Ava, Brie, Kate, Allie, Tammie, Linz, The Clique Life, Lisi Harrison, the Pretty Committee, and everyone who has ever helped this site become more awesome than it already was :) And now, the GCY theme song. In real life, I’m probably lame And sometimes I feel really ashamed But on this site you can be anyone And that is why it’s so much fun We roleplay a lot and make a bunch of friends And sometimes check for split ends We’re all so funny Thinking we’re cute like a bunny! I love you (no homo) Jackie Chan D: This website means a lot to me, and all the stuff you said. Virtual hangouts, but real friendships. Virtual fights, but real feelings hurt.
And when it all comes down to it, this is where I met my real family. Aly, Anastasia, Ava, Brie, Jackie, Kendall, my online best friends. Linz, Tammie, Nicci, Allie, Kate, my close online friends. And we're all friends on other websites (TCA, Polyvore, Facebook) but it's like a piece of all of us is being crushed into the ground. Oh, and just for the record, I'm making a new RP site - no Clique, but still scandalous - for when we want to ditch the Chem books during the school year :) |
